Were looking for someone to grow support from local businesses and help bring in income through donations, fundraising and gifts in kind. The role involves building strong relationships, looking after existing supporters and finding new opportunities for businesses to get involved with Dougie Macs work. You will be part of our vibrant Business & Events team a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same. Key Responsibilities Build and grow relationships with local businesses to secure donations, fundraising support and gifts in kind Develop and manage corporate partnerships, including looking after existing supporters and finding new opportunities Lead on business fundraising activity to help meet income targets and deliver the fundraising strategy Manage the Business Club and related events, ensuring members are well supported and engaged Identify sponsorship and networking opportunities that raise income and awareness for Dougie Mac Keep accurate records and monitor results, using data and insight to improve performance

Job responsibilities
1.Implement the business fundraising strategy and contribute to ongoing development and creation of subsequent plans, to deliver as a minimum, the annually budgeted surplus approved by DMH Board. 2.Set up meetings with potential business owners/leaders to establish partnerships which result in business donations, employee fundraising and potential gifts in kind. The goal: to create exceptional experiences for businesses and generate impressive results for Dougie Mac. 3.Support the Corporate Volunteering programme operated by the Hospice by connecting Volunteer Services team with businesses interested in participating. 4.Lead on direct asks for financial donations from businesses using appropriate communication channels e.g. postal, electronic, SMS text messaging etc. 5.Manage the Business Club; following the existing concept and take responsibility for the stewardship of existing members by organising events/meetings and oversee the supporter pathway and the formal interventions on the relationship journey. Nurture these connections and ensure decision makers are alongside us to open doors to maximise opportunities. 6.Annually review the Business Club concept ensuring it remains contemporary and meets the needs of Dougie Mac and the business who are members. 7.Establish a clear and effective plan to recruit new paying members which deliver on the KPIs set to meet the budget as a minimum. 8.Ensure written plans and processes are in place to underpin all the activities undertaken; so there are footprints in the sand for future post holders. 9.Oversee the Partnerships Awards Scheme to ensure it maximises each individual businesss optimal potential to generate income and all other forms of support for the Hospice. 10.Plan and deliver an annual event currently referred to as The Business Partnerships Awards by liaison with relevant SLG peers and Directors regarding objectives, concept and content. 11.Utilise the data base provided comprehensively (never standalone spread sheets/records) to record all contacts and outcomes as a daily routine. Monitor and evaluate financial and overall performance to take learnings to develop and assist with decision making using appropriate IT systems and technologies. 12.Co-ordinate asks made to businesses by all parts of Dougie Mac for support by regular proactive conversations and maintaining an open dialogue with colleagues understanding the needs of all areas both within income generation and beyond. Sometimes acting as the sign post for other forms of support, such as shop donations, lottery player recruitment, gifts or services in kind etc. 13.Operate as part of the team to ensure the total income generation budget is the priority over individual successes. Fully utilise the volunteer resource available which is an integral and important part of the fundraising team 14.Actively seek sponsorship for events within the annual calendar. 15.Identify networking events, attend and create worthwhile outcomes, share opportunities with colleagues and peers. 16.Be vigilant, explore and research new ideas and formulate proposals for Senior Management proposal to consider.
