Main duties of the job

Job responsibilities
Main Duties of the Job- Deliver high-quality, person-centred care in accordance with individual care plans.
- Support residents with daily living activities while promoting dignity, independence and choice.
- Assist residents to maintain their wellbeing, comfort and quality of life.
- Encourage participation in social, recreational and meaningful daily activities.
- Build positive and professional relationships with residents, relatives and visitors.
- Monitor residents' wellbeing and report any concerns or changes appropriately.
- Support residents with nutrition, hydration and general wellbeing needs where required.
- Provide companionship, reassurance and emotional support to residents.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with company policies and procedures.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure continuity and consistency of care.
- Contribute to maintaining a safe, clean and welcoming environment throughout the home.
- Follow safeguarding, health and safety, infection prevention and control policies and procedures at all times.
- Participate in mandatory training and ongoing professional development activities.
- Uphold the values and standards of Telford Hall Care Home and Sandstone Care Group.
- Support colleagues and contribute positively to a culture of teamwork, respect and professionalism.
- Undertake any other duties reasonably required to support the effective operation of the home.
