Job summary
The catering department is looking to recruit part time experienced catering assistants to work front of house at various sites.
Sandwell Health Campus13.5 hours per week - Hallam Restaurant - Week 1 Monday 13.30pm - 16.30pm & Thursday 10.00am - 16.30pm. Week 2 Wednesday 10.30am - 17.00pm, Thursday & Friday 10.00am - 16.30pm
Main duties of the job
Applicants must have previous catering experience with high standards of work, motivated and enthusiastic and are able to work as part of a team or on their own initiative.
A flexible approach to hours and duties and be able to work additional shifts as required at time with short notice.
To carry out a wide range of general catering duties in an efficient and effective manner to ensure that a high-quality service is provided at all times. The posts have a significant amount of personal contact with staff, patients and members of the public.
Duties include: Serving customers, cash handling, basic food preparation, completing control paperwork, general and deep cleaning.About us

Experience
Essential
- Previous catering experience required
- To have experience of working in environments where a methodical and organised approach to work can be demonstrated.
Desirable
- Experience using a Barista Coffee machine
- knowledge of Food Allergens
Qualifications
Essential
- NVQ 2 Customer Service (or equivalent skills/ experience).
- To be willing to undertake and achieve the level 2 Food Safety Certificate, COSHH Training and Trust Mandatory Training Courses
Desirable
- Level 2 Food Safety Certificate
