Job summary
Please note: at this stage, the role is open only to colleagues currently employed within Kent and Medway NHS Trusts and the Kent and Medway Integrated Care Board (ICB). Nursing vacancies are also open to Student Nurses and Newly Qualified Nurses.

We are excited to be working in a fully integrated social model tosupport children with a range of disabilities. As part of this we are looking for a dynamic and forward thinking nurseprescriber with experience in working with children and young people with ADHD.
The successful candidate will workalongside paediatricians and therapists to help lead our neurodevelopmental pathway.

Main duties of the job
The full ADHD caseload will be monitored and the role will involve reviewing medication alongside monitoring symptomsto ensure the correct prescription, working closely with paediatricians.
Children and their families will be supportedthrough our extensive parent education sessions, parent support groups and individual packages of care delivered by theteam.
You will use your prescribing skills on a daily basis and hold a key role in ensuring transformational change for this cohortof children and young people. In return we will support you to develop your clinical and leadership skills.

- You'll need to have a Level 6 Degree or equivalent qualification in relevant subject
- You will be a registered health care professional with the Nursing and Midwifery Council
Experience amd Knowldege
Essential
- Proven ability to work effectively within your area of practice, supported by relevant experience. As well as managing complex caseloads and supporting/ mentoring others.
- You'll need have sound communication skills in order to understand and communicate both verbally and in writing.
- You will need to be able to be able to use IT systems and databases.
Knowledge, Skills and Attributes

- Having an awareness of developments within the NHS would be an advantage as well as an understanding of National Service Frameworks and NICE guidance.
