Job Description

Job summary

As a Clinical Education Support Administrator, you will play a key role within the Medical Education department, supporting high quality teaching, simulation & clinical skills training for learners across the Trust. This hands on role blends technical, operational & administrative responsibilities, giving you the opportunity to work closely with clinical educators, trainees, students & external partners. You will help prepare, run & maintain simulation & clinical skills equipment, support AV & multimedia needs, & ensure teaching spaces are safe, well organised & fully equipped. You'll also provide firstline troubleshooting, assist with scenario setups, & offer calm, professional support to staff & learners during training events. The role may include cross site working to support education delivery across Trust locations, offering variety and the chance to build strong relationships with a wide range of teams. Although this is predominantly an administrative role, elements of the work involve specialist technical support. Full training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for someone enthusiastic, practical and keen to develop new skills within a dynamic educational environment.

This is a 30 hour per week position, typically worked Tuesday to Friday between 8am and 5pm. Flexibility in start and finish times is essential, dependent on activity within the department, and exact working hours can be discussed with the successful applicant.

Main duties of the job

In this role, you will support the delivery of high quality clinical education by ensuring training spaces, equipment and technology are ready, safe & fully functional. You'll bring practical problem solving skills, attention to detail & a calm, supportive approach to a busy teaching environment. Working closely with educators, clinicians and learners, you will help create realistic, effective simulation experiences that enhance clinical skills & patient care. Your work will involve hands on technical support, confident use of AV & IT systems, & the ability to adapt quickly during fast paced training days. You'll also contribute to the organisation of courses & events, helping to keep the service running efficiently & professionally.

This role suits someone flexible, enthusiastic & eager to contribute to an engaging, welcoming team. Working in Medical Education allows you to directly shape the future of healthcare. It is a broad and far reaching field with a clear purpose: to train, inspire and motivate medical students & doctors. Medical education is vital because it ensures healthcare professionals gain the knowledge, skills & ethical foundation needed to deliver safe, high quality patient care.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, teamwork & learning new skills, while playing a meaningful part in developing the next generation of clinicians.
