Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced mental health professional to take on the role of Team Leader for the Pendle locality. The team is currently undergoing developments in line with community transformation so this is an opportunity for someone who is driven and has a passion for working in mental health to become an integral part of developments and leadership of the team.

Main duties of the job

You will work closely with other team leaders in your District and support the Service Manager in ensuring service users receive high quality interventions.

You will have excellent communication and organisational skills and be able to work well as a team player in a CMHT.You will be keen to embrace change and have a positive manner to support team members through change and provide strong leadership to them.

Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential

  • Must hold relevant professional qualification (RMN, SW,OT)
  • Completion of or working towards, Management or Leadership training.
  • Documented evidence of continuing professional development (CPD)

Knowledge

Essential

  • Expert knowledge on mental health issues and how these impact on the individual, carers and the wider community
  • Expertise in current best practice in Adult Mental Health , and awareness of relevant government directives and legislation
  • Specialist knowledge and application of mental health assessments and interventions using expert level clinical reasoning
  • Ability to influence and inspire innovative and effective practice in others.
  • Ability to work as autonomously as a specialist practitioner within a MDT context.

Experience

Essential

  • Experience in a community mental health setting (one year of which will be in relevant specialist area)
  • Use of evidence based practice
  • Extensive clinical experiences including individual and group work in mental health specialties
  • Leadership experience of the Multi-disciplinary team.
