Main duties of the job

This role involves supporting the delivery of quality care in a Barchester care home. As Deputy General Manager (Clinical), you'll work closely with the General Manager, taking on leadership duties in their absence. This includes ensuring care standards and motivating your team. You'll lead a multidisciplinary team to ensure residents enjoy the best possible quality of life by leading by example, maintaining standards through audits and supervised practice, and ensuring regulatory compliance. To qualify, you'll need to be a Registered Nurse (RN/RMN) with current NMC registration and a teaching/mentoring/supervision qualification. Experience in managing safeguarding investigations, clinical risk assessments, HR, sales and marketing knowledge, and budget management is required. Compassion, resilience, and determination to deliver quality care are essential traits for this role.

ABOUT YOUTo join us as a Care Home Deputy Manager & Clinical Lead, you'll need be a Registered Nurse (RN/RMN) with current NMC registration and a teaching/mentoring/supervision qualification. Experience in helping residents with different health needs is important too, as is a successful track record of managing safeguarding investigations and clinical risk assessments. We'll also look for some HR experience, a strong knowledge of sales and marketing, an understanding of budget management, and a track record of supporting newly qualified nurses through preceptorship. Finally, you'll be compassionate, resilient and determined to deliver quality care in our engaging and energetic environment.
