Job summary
An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiast Estates Technician with an electrical background, who will carry out crucial maintenance, fault finding, repairs and installation work on all facilities, plant and equipment throughout the Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust Estate. Working on the full range of Estates Services equipment, the Electrical Estates Technician will undertake activities which require problem solving and solution identifying, along with analysis of complex situations to resolve technical issues on multifaceted equipment. Much of your work will have a direct impact on patients and their experience within our Trust. Main duties of the job

What you will bring to the roleInstall, maintain, service and repair the full range of Estates Services equipment.
Responsible for calibration and fault finding on a wide range of engineering plant and equipment including various voltage systems, medical gas systems, nurse call systems, lighting, fire detection, building services controls, standby generator plant, heating and ventilation control systems and refrigeration plant.
Undertake surveys, evaluating inspection reports and maintenance repairs, improvement and capital work across the Trust as directed by management, ensuring compliance with Trust safety standards and procedures.
Plan and organise interruptions, maintenance activities and co-ordinates work of others. Provides practical training to others and evaluates work.
Deputise for Estates Officer on the full range of management duties as well as providing technical advice to other Estates staff and contractors.
Participate in some out of hours work as and when required.
