Job summary

Bury St Edmunds Primary Care Network (PCN) is looking to recruit a dynamic and enthusiastic paramedic to join our established and supportive multidisciplinary team on a full-time basis. You will be working alongside an existing team of four paramedics, providing high-quality care to our patient population across our member practices.

Main duties of the job

  • Provide patient-facing clinical assessments, triage, and treatment in the community and surgery settings.
  • Undertake home visits and urgent on-the-day appointments as required.
  • Work closely with GPs, Nurses, Pharmacists, and other ARRS roles to deliver safe, effective, and person-centred care.
  • Support patients with acute presentations, long-term conditions, and contribute to health promotion.
  • Help reduce pressure on GP appointments by managing appropriate cases independently within your scope of practice.

Bury St Edmunds Primary Care Network is a growing PCN with already existing roles including, care coordinators, social prescriber, clinical pharmacists, paramedics, health and wellbeing coaches and pharmacist technicians that support GPs and other clinical teams to enhance patient services in the local community.

Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential

  • HCPC registered with evidence of CPD and ongoing professional development.
  • Completed their two-year Consolidation of Learning period when a newly qualified paramedic.
  • Completed a further three years experience as a band 6 (or equivalent) paramedic.

Experience

Essential

  • Experienced in autonomous practice, with strong assessment and diagnostic skills.
  • A confident communicator, able to work well within a team and independently.
  • Flexible, motivated, and committed to delivering excellent patient care.
  • Previous experience in primary care is desirable but not essentialtraining and support will be provided.
