Job summary

To work as part of the in-house painting and decorating team carrying out all painting and decorating works across Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trustpremises. The role will be based covering either all north sites or all south sites as partof a team and will involve working alongside other trade groups. The role will requirethe postholder to carry out planned and reactive decorating across all sites eitherindependently or as part of a team as dictated by the requirements of the project

Main duties of the job

Carry out planned and reactive painting and decorating works across all Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust premises, ensuring a high-quality finish appropriateto healthcare environments.o Undertake internal and external painting and decorating works, includingplastering, surface preparation, application of primers, undercoats, topcoats, andspecialist healthcare paint systems in line with manufacturer specifications andTrust standards.o Apply a range of wall finishes including emulsion, gloss, specialist coatings,protective finishes, and wall coverings where required.o Prepare surfaces by washing down, sanding, filling, sealing, patch repairs, andmaking good to ensure durable and professional finishes to meet projectrequirements.o Complete plastering works to a high-standard.o Ensure all work is carried out safely, efficiently, and with minimal disruption toclinical services, service users, staff, and visitors.

Job responsibilities

Ensure all work is carried out safely, efficiently, and with minimal disruption toclinical services, service users, staff, and visitors. Work independently or as part of the Estates Painting and Decorating Team,planning workload in liaison with Estates colleagues and building users. Use appropriate access equipment (ladders, step-ups, or platforms) followingtraining, risk assessment, and safe working practices. Maintain good housekeeping standards, ensuring work areas are kept clean, tidy,safe, and free from dust and debris.
