Job summary

Supporting quality, project work and training for our Soft FM Colleagues and services across Community & Neighbourhood Service Group sites along with providing support and advice to Mental Health and community sites.

The post holder will work as an integral member of the Facilities Team, with specific responsibility for supporting relevant projects, delivering training, ensuring standards of service are maintained across the Community, in conjunction with the larger facilities team. These primary duties will ensure a quality service is delivered to maintain a clean, safe and comfortable environment for patients, staff and visitors.

Main duties of the job

The main elements of the job role are, to support in the delivery of a quality service, across the community sites, ensuring compliance with National Guidance.

To ensure standards are maintained and/or enhanced to raise awareness of any underperforming areas.

The post holder will support in reviewing audit results, supporting the completion of any cleaning, catering, efficacy and departmental audits and actions to improve standards and support the improvement of standards.

Support with the delivery and implementation of internal training, competency-based assessments and British Institute of Cleaning Science (BICS) training to enable safe and effective cleaning and catering services across the community sites.

The role will also include supporting with projects initiatives and the implementation of any new standards or National Guidance across all sites. Including identifying and cost savings, collating of data and supporting with time frames, business cases to drive change forward.

The post holder will support the Facilities Team in maintaining the standards set out by the Trust / Department and Government Guidance.

Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential

  • Vocational Level 3 qualification appropriate to the post, or working towards within agreed timescale

Desirable

  • Level 3 Award in Food Safety in Catering, or completed within agreed timescale

Experience

Essential

  • Experience of working with multi-disciplinary teams and external agencies
  • A proven employment history in cleaning and or catering
  • Evidence of self-development and/or training in administration and/or office practice including update training of software applications
  • Experience of using own judgement and decision-making skills in dealing with day-to-day issues
  • Experience of the use of Microsoft Office packages e.g. Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Experience of time management using own judgement in prioritising and rescheduling
  • Experience in being able to demonstrate that they can work under pressure and meet deadlines

Desirable

  • Evidence of previous team management experience

Additional Criteria

Essential

  • Understanding of Infection Control procedures
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations
  • Knowledge of Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) is required as cleaning chemicals form part of the cleaning procedure

Desirable

  • Knowledge of Catering and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP)
  • Level 3 HACCP Certificate
