We are looking to appoint a Finance Officer to join our Finance Team based in Barnsley.
This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a team responsible for supporting the Trusts Care Groups, delivering high quality and timely financial management services to all budget holders.
Working as an integral member of the Finance Team, the Finance Officer is required to organise personal workload to meet all relevant financial timetables. You will be a logical thinker who works in a methodical manner, paying particular attention to accuracy. The post holders will also be expected to support team members as required including assisting with forecasting, costing, budget setting and expenditure analysis.

Main duties of the job
The Finance Officer is responsible for supporting the Management Accountants Team in delivering a high quality and timely financial management service to budget holders within the Care Groups. Working as an integral member of the team, the Finance Officer is required to organise personal workloads to meet all relevant financial timetables in the delivery of the financial management remit as set by the Finance Manager / Deputy Director of Finance.

- Knowledge of finance computer systems and of other finance areas e.g. finance coding structures, petty cash, VAT, balancing and reconciling accounts/ledgers, payroll procedures and agreements.

- Detailed workings on budget setting;
- Producing monthly management reports;
- Analysis and investigation of variances;
- Calculate year end forecasts on pay and non pay budgets;

- Provide first line support to budget managers;
