Job Description

Job summary

Grosvenor House Surgery is looking for an enthusiastic and committed General Practitioner to join our friendly and supportive team at an exciting time in the development of the practice.

We are a long-established community practice with a proud history, while being firmly focused on the future. We are currently going through a period of positive transformation, taking a measured and thoughtful approach to developing ways of working that are sustainable, effective and fit for the future of general practice.

This is an opportunity to join a forward-thinking practice where your ideas and experience will be valued. We are looking for a GP who wants to provide excellent patient care while also having the opportunity to contribute to how our services develop.

We welcome applications from experienced GPs as well as those earlier in their careers who are looking for a supportive practice where they can develop their interests and take on greater responsibility over time.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will provide high-quality, compassionate and patient-centred general medical services to our practice population, working closely with our clinical, nursing, administrative and wider multidisciplinary teams.

Alongside day-to-day clinical work, there will be opportunities to become involved in the wider development of the practice according to your interests, experience and career aspirations.

We are actively involved in PCN and neighbourhood working, providing opportunities to collaborate with colleagues across primary care and the wider health and care system.

For those who are interested, there will be scope to develop or lead areas of special interest, contribute to quality improvement and practice projects, become involved in PCN or neighbourhood initiatives, and take on clinical or organisational leadership responsibilities.

We want our GPs to have a voice in the practice and to contribute to developing services that work well for both our patients and our team.

About us

Grosvenor House Surgery has been at the heart of its community for generations, caring for local people through enormous changes in medicine, the NHS and wider society. We are proud of our history and the relationships we have built with our patients and community.

At the heart of the practice is a team of friendly, helpful and committed staff who care about our patients and each other. We value teamwork, open communication and a supportive working environment where everyone's contribution is recognised.

We are now building on these strengths as we develop the practice for the future. Our approach is positive but considered: embracing innovation and new ways of working while making sure that change is sustainable for both patients and staff.

We are part of a thriving Primary Care Network and are actively engaged in neighbourhood working, giving our team opportunities to collaborate, develop professionally and contribute to the changing landscape of primary care.
