Primary Integrated Community Servicesare supporting Bassetlaw Hospice with the recruitment for the following vacancy.

Purpose of the Role

The Head of Income Generation will lead, grow, and manage all income-generating activity across Bassetlaw Hospice The Hospice of the Good Shepherd CIO, including fundraising, community engagement, events, retail operations, and integration with the clinical and hospice teams. The postholder must deliver a minimum of £400,000 income per annum.

  • Lead fundraising streams including individual giving, corporate fundraising, grants, trusts, and legacies.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Relevant CPD or experience in fundraising or equivalent management
  • Understanding budget forecast and planning, maintenance and protection.
  • Knowledge of major fundraising streams
  • Experience managing retail operations

  • Develop and deliver a comprehensive income generation strategy across all fundraising, events, and retail areas.
  • Drive achievement of a minimum annual income of £400,000 to support the vital clinical services delivered.
  • Lead fundraising streams including individual giving, corporate fundraising, grants, trusts, and legacies.
  • Oversee planning and delivery of hospice fundraising events.
  • Provide leadership to hospice retail staff, ensuring profitability and operational excellence. This will include overseeing the running of the shop and the aesthetics to boost sales.
  • Collaborate with clinical teams to integrate storytelling and service insights into income generation activities. This will help to engage the community, this candidate will need to be able to build effective relations with the community, fundraisers and givers.
  • Produce accurate income/expenditure budgets, forecasts, and performance reports.
  • Manage fundraisers, shop managers and support staff, providing strong leadership and delegation. Work in collaboration with the Hospice Non Clinical Team Leader to effectively recruit and manage volunteers.
  • Act as a public representative of the hospice, speaking at events and engaging with the community.
