Package Description: We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Healthcare Assistant to join our Urgent Treatment Centre team. In this role, you will support the clinical team in providing a high standard of patient care, assisting with minor illnesses, minor injuries, dressings, and phlebotomy. This role covers our Urgent Treatment Centre in Ormskirk and our Walk in Centre in Skelmersdale so willingness and ability to travel between the two sites is essential. Carry out delegated clinical tasks including dressings, phlebotomy, and basic interventions. What You'll do:

Support and assist the clinical team in delivering highquality care to patients presenting with minor illnesses or injuries. Carry out delegated clinical tasks including dressings, phlebotomy, and basic interventions. Work effectively as a member of the Multidisciplinary Team, contributing to the smooth running of the department. Ensure patient privacy, dignity and comfort at all times. Promote health and wellbeing through patient interaction andsupport. Maintain close liaison with the day coordinator and other team members. Keep accurate, clear and contemporaneous records in line with VCL procedures. Provide clerical and administrativesupport when required. Work collaboratively with other professionals and agencies involved in patient care.Understand and act upon safeguarding procedures to protect vulnerable individuals. Participate in Clinical Governance, Risk Management activities and complete all mandatory and rolespecific training, including the Care Certificate.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Essential qualifications include relevant experience in a healthcare or similar environment, ability to deliver responsive and quality patient care, strong written and verbal communication skills, basic IT/computer skills, and excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills. Desirable qualifications include NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification, evidence of ongoing professional development, and previous experience in health or social care.
