Main duties of the job

As a Healthcare Assistant at Hickings Lane Medical Centre, Nottingham, you will be responsible for assisting with patient duties and supporting other team members with patient care. Key tasks include working with patients with long-term conditions, conducting clinical procedures like BMI, blood pressure, and simple wound care, and completing administrative tasks such as new patient registrations. You must have experience in a primary care setting, including phlebotomy, and basic PC skills like Word and Excel. Main Responsibilities:

As a valued member of the Operose Health team, your key duties will include:

  • Assisting with patient duties as required and support other team members such as clinical and Nurse Lead with patient care.
  • Supporting the Practice with duties related to CQC outcomes and ensuring compliance is maintained.
  • You will be working with patients with long term conditions such as Diabetes etc. So must have experience in Phlebotomy.
  • Provide clinical procedures such as new patient health checks, BMI, blood pressure, pulse and simple wound care.
  • Completing administrative tasks such as new patient registrations, providing appropriate leaflets, stock control and ordering.

  • Ability to use own judgement and be aware of professional boundaries they are working to.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Experience in a Primary Care setting and phlebotomy. Basic PC skills such as Word, Excel, and email. Ability to adapt to changing priorities. Must be personable, polite, and patient with patients.
