Healthy Child Programme Practitioner School Nursing Leicester City | MondayFriday (no bank holidays) Exciting opportunities have arisen to join our Healthy Together Teams within School Nursing, supporting children and young people aged 5-19 and their families. We are looking for compassionate, motivated individuals who enjoy working with children and families and are passionate about delivering practical, high-quality support. You will work within a supportive multidisciplinary team and benefit from bespoke training, development opportunities, and exposure to innovative approaches, including digital services and our Chat Health messaging service. Main duties of the job
The Healthy Child Programme Practitioner (HCPP) will undertake health promotion activities including supportive behaviour management delegated by the Public Health Nurse. The post holder will be responsible for planning, delivering and evaluating a range of public health activities and packages of care on a 1:1 basis or in groups for example; Defined packages of care for sleep, behaviour Review assessments for children with self-harm and emotional health issues where risk is assessed to be acceptable by PHN Sexual health assessment and follow up Healthy Bladder/Bowel workshop delivery Healthy Bladder/Bowel Reviews Delivery of parent/carer public health information sessions Promotion of nutrition and healthy weight and obesity prevention in group setting or 121 follow up advice Support National Childhood Measurement Programme (NCMP)
