Main duties of the job
As a Housekeeping Assistant at Avery Healthcare, you will be part of a team ensuring that all cleanliness and laundry standards are met. You will follow standard operating procedures for housekeeping and laundry, maintaining hotel service standards. Responsibilities include carrying out cleaning duties per instructions, understanding cleaning requirements for different surfaces, and ensuring all areas are well presented. Respect and dignity towards all residents are crucial, treating their personal space and belongings with respect. The role requires knowledge of Health and Safety, including Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety, and COSHH assessments. Experience in cleaning laundry in a public setting is essential, along with commitment to high-quality service delivery. Flexibility and adaptability to cover various responsibilities at short notice are also necessary. A DBS Disclosure check is required, the cost of which will be met by Avery Healthcare, along with proof of eligibility to work in the UK.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Your focus asHousekeepingAssistant will be to work as part of a team, ensuring that all standards of cleanliness and laundry aremaintainedin the home. You willoperateaccording to our standard operating procedures for housekeeping and laundry, ensuring that hotel service standards aremaintained.
Other responsibilitieswillinclude:
- Carrying out all cleaning dutiesin accordance withworksheetinstructions.
- Understandingthe cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings and the properties of cleaning materials, ensuring that all areas are well presented and maintained in good condition.
- Ensuring that all residents are treated with dignity and respect and that their personal space and belongings are always respected.
