We now seek an additional Laundry Assistant who is passionate about, and thrives on, making a real and positive difference to the lives of older people. Working in collaboration and unison with the Housekeeper and the wider domestic team you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth, efficient running of all laundry processes in the home. This will include giving your undivided attention and care to all items for laundering, performing minor repairs to the residents personal items of clothing whilst being respectful and supportive of individual and differing needs. Continually and compassionately assess all aspects of residents laundry requirements and provide dedicated and individualised attention if / when required. Methodically ensure that the laundry room is permanently clean and tidy, and that all equipment is clean and well maintained alongside imparting your knowledge to all other colleagues to ensure they adhere to the same high standards. Whilst you will be involved in all the practical duties you would expect in a busy care home laundry environment it is important to be mindful of and conscious to individual religious and cultural backgrounds. Main duties of the job

We are seeking a Laundry Assistant to join our team and support the smooth running of laundry processes. In this role, you will collaborate with the Housekeeper and domestic team to ensure efficient laundry services, attend to residents personal clothing items, and maintain high hygiene standards. The position requires a compassionate and adaptable individual who respects diverse cultural and religious backgrounds, working under pressure without causing negative impact. Person Specification
Qualifications
Essential
- Experience of working within a similar environment and previous laundry experience are required. A caring nature with the ability to provide a personal approach, flexibility, adaptability to change, resilience under pressure, and an engaging personality are essential. Candidates must respect and treat everyone with dignity, demonstrate a warm and approachable persona, and adapt to differing needs of colleagues and residents.
