Main duties of the job

Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive electrical works Respond to breakdowns and emergency call-outs in a timely manner Ensuring all works are completed safely and in line with statutory and NHS standards Completing relevant documentation and compliance records accurately Work collaboratively within the wider maintenance team and with site stakeholders Handling routine tasks and social interactions within the work environment and demonstrating the ability to absorb and follow policies and guidance necessary for the role

We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Technician (Electrical) to join our team based at St Charles Hospital, with responsibility for supporting additional satellite sites across Northwest London. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a busy healthcare environment, delivering high-quality planned and reactive maintenance across a large, multi-site estate. Location: St Charles Hospital, London (with travel to satellite sites) Salary: From £41,000 Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 16:30 Contract: Permanent Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive electrical works
  • Respond to breakdowns and emergency call-outs in a timely manner
  • Ensuring all works are completed safely and in line with statutory and NHS standards
  • Completing relevant documentation and compliance records accurately
  • Work collaboratively within the wider maintenance team and with site stakeholders
  • Handling routine tasks and social interactions within the work environment and demonstrating the ability to absorb and follow policies and guidance necessary for the role
  • On-call rota: Approximately 1 in 4 to 1 in 5 weeks, covering a full week from Friday to Friday, including out-of-hours and weekend call-outs.
  • What We're Looking For
  • Fully qualified Electrician (Level 3)
  • 18th Edition (essential)
  • Proven experience in a maintenance environment
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, ideally within a live environment such as healthcare
  • A full UK driving licence (company van provided)
  • DBS check will also be required for this role.
