Main duties of the job
As a Medical Resourcing Team Manager, you will support in the delivery of a comprehensive medical resourcing service to the Trust keeping abreast of changes in employment legislation, and contribute to the formulation, revision and implementation of workforce resourcing policies and procedures and good employment practice.

Job responsibilities
To manage the workload of staff within the resourcing teams ensuring high standards are maintained.
To supervise the day to day operational management of the resourcing teams ensuring they are providing a responsive customer focused service
To oversee the budgets including the advertising budget (BMJ) and the international recruitment budget
To take responsibility for the performance management of staff through agreed objectives and standards for work using the Trusts appraisal process and staff development opportunities Utilising Trust policies manage staff who failed to meet their objectives.
To assist staff on the redeployment register ensuring they are aware of suitable alternative opportunities
To ensure that the teams are aware of all changes taking place as a result of any initiatives and that all recruitment and employment issues that arise are dealt with in an efficient and timely manner Ensure as a Level 1 user, that all certificate of sponsorship applications are made in line with current guidelines and immigration rules
To assist the Medical Resourcing Implementation Manager to implement, maintain and report on key performance indicators for the medical resourcing service, continually monitoring, auditing and reviewing performance, procedures and processes to ensure best practice
To assist in the resolution of complaints in relation to recruitment practices and implement any changes that may arise from identified problems Provide a full on-boarding process to junior doctors in training including pre-employment clearances. Liaise with Medical Education and Health Education England (HEE), ensuring that statutory and HEE requirements and the Code of Practice are met
To monitor junior doctor hours ensuring the Trust remains compliant with the national junior doctors terms and conditions

Qualifications
Essential
- A good general level of education, with a professional or management qualification or degree, or relevant NHS experience.
- Track record of continuous professional and management development.
Knowledge
Essential
- In-depth understanding of medical career strucutres and Medical & Dental Terms & Conditions of service.
- In-depth knowledge of recruitment and selection legislation
- Resident doctor rotations and onboarding
- Compliance of resident doctor rotas
- GMC registration process
- Overseas recruitment processes including employer sponsorship
Experience
Essential
- Related NHS experience or relevant other experience
- Experience of leading a team with demonstratable success in delivering targets
- Experience in developing policies and procedure documents
- Experience of using social media to good effect.
- Substantial recruitment and selection experience in a complex, multi-disciplinary and culturally diverse organisation, with a wide range of skills levels and within a medical resourcing setting.
- Experience of advising senior managers on recruitment and selection issues in a medical resourcing setting.
