We are looking to recruit a Salaried GP for 3 to 4 sessions to help increase our clinical capacity at Oakley Medical Practice.
This is an excellent opportunity for a GP seeking a fresh challenge, looking to broaden their portfolio, or taking their first steps after training in a supportive and well-established practice.
As a PMS practice, we are proud to offer patient-centred care through a small, friendly team committed to delivering the highest possible standard of service.
Our team includes 2 GP partners, 1 salaried GP, 1 ANP, 2 Practice Nurses, and an experienced management, administration and care navigation team, creating a collaborative environment where everyones contribution is valued.
We use SystmOne and consistently perform well against QOF and other clinical targets, with a strong emphasis on support, learning and continuous improvement.
As part of Beeston PCN, we also benefit from the support of a wider multidisciplinary team, including Social Prescribers, a Pharmacy Team, a Frailty Team, First Contact Physiotherapists and Mental Health Workers.

Deliver comprehensive care to patients of all ages.
Provide a mix of face-to-face and remote consultations.
Complete associated clinical administration, supported by an excellent Patient Services Team.
Work closely with the multi-disciplinary team to deliver seamless, patient-centred care and help reduce health inequalities.
Take part in on-call duties as part of a fair and supportive rota.
Contribute to practice meetings, sharing ideas and learning from colleagues.
Take delegated responsibility for one or more QOF areas.
Complete mandatory training on time and demonstrate a commitment to continuous professional development.
Engage with both practice and GP appraisal processes

Job responsibilities
The Salaried GP will play a central role in delivering safe, effective and patient-centred care, while contributing to the ongoing development of the practice and wider primary care team.
Core responsibilitiesDeliver highly effective medical care to the patient population in line with the primary care contract.
Assess patients physical and psychological needs, plan appropriate care, and refer to other services or agencies in a timely manner using relevant practice and local guidelines.
Prescribe safely in line with local and national guidance, review medications appropriately, and support effective medicines management.
Manage long-term conditions, support anticipatory care planning, and promote healthy lifestyles and self-care.
Respond appropriately to complex, urgent and emergency situations, including initiating effective emergency care where required.
Complete clinical administration in a timely manner, including referrals, repeat prescriptions and associated tasks.
Maintain accurate clinical records and work in line with practice policies, clinical guidance and audit recommendations.
Work collaboratively across the practice, share the workload fairly, and contribute to practice meetings, clinical governance, training and quality improvement initiatives.
Take delegated responsibility for one or more QOF areas and support the delivery of continuous improvement across the practice.
Comply with safeguarding, appraisal, revalidation and mandatory policy requirements, while maintaining a strong commitment to self-learning and continuing professional development.
Act as an integral member of both the practice team and the wider multidisciplinary network, undertaking additional duties where appropriate according to service needs.

Person Specification
Qualifications
Essential
- Qualified GP.
- MRCGP, Vocational Training Certificate, or equivalent JCPTGP Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT).
- Full GMC registration.
- Performers List registration or currently applying.
- Evidence of current validation, where applicable.
- Evidence of last appraisal, where applicable.
- Eligibility to practise independently in the UK.
