Job summary
An opportunity has arisen within the Ophthalmic Imaging Department.
The Post holder will actively participate and assist with the effective and efficient maintenance of a comprehensive Imaging and Diagnostic photographic service to the Directorate of Ophthalmology.
They should be able to prioritise and plan their own workload and the ability to work independently is essential.They will assist with service development and audit of photography and imaging, ensuring high standards are maintained. Where appropriate, adhere to and implement good scientific practice standards for Ophthalmic and Vision Science.
Main duties of the job
Retinal photography
Fluorescein fundus angiography - electronic image recording, image processing and quality assurance
Optical coherence tomography
Anterior segment OCT
Administration of eye drops to facilitate ocular imaging
Visual Acuity assessment
The ability to be able to concentrate for prolonged periods to capture images and then be able to manipulate them to achieve the best result for the patient
Preparation of images for clinic sessions
