Job summary
- Patient Co-Ordinator within our Medical Administration Team at Stennack Surgery St Ives, Cornwall.
- Be the First Voice of Care for our patients in a dream location where you can take your lunch break at the beach
Main duties of the job
- Act as the first port of call for patients contacting us in person, online, and via the telephone.
- Manage high volume telephone and online enquiries in a calm, organised, and friendly manner.
- Provide clear, accurate information and support in a fast paced busy environment.
- Handle confidential and sensitive information in line with GDPR
- Remain calm, empathetic, and solution focused during challenging or emotional conversations
- Perform administrative IT duties, including appointment booking, updating patient records, processing prescription requests

We are a large GP Surgery of approx. 12,000 patients working from an inspiring Victorian grade 2 listed premises & spectacular seaside location. We have 5 GP Partners, 4 Salaried GPs and a large Nursing/HCA team. We are a pro-active, supportive & harmonious team
Who are committed to providing high quality patient care. We have an extended range of services on site including: MIU, minor surgery, physiotherapy, counsellors,shared care substance misuse, and social prescribing.
Job responsibilities
As a Patient Co-Ordinator, you will join our fantastic medical admin team and will be the first person our patients speak - whether they contact us face to face, online, or over the telephone. We are looking for someone who really wants to make a difference, whilst remaining calm, organised and friendly. You will provide high-quality support, ensure patients receive the right care at the right time, and play a vital role in the smooth running of our surgery. We want to provide the best service possible for our patients and to do that we need energetic and enthusiastic people who really care about helping our local community.
