ABOUT THE ROLE As a Peripatetic Deputy General Manager (Clinical) at Barchester, you'll travel across your region to manage and develop the teams in various care homes, to help us deliver the high quality care and service we're known for. Main duties of the job
As a Peripatetic Deputy General Manager (Clinical) at Barchester, you will travel across your region to manage and develop teams in various care homes, ensuring high quality care and service. As a leader, you will manage everything from care standards to team motivation, inspiring a multidisciplinary team and ensuring residents enjoy the best quality of life. Monitoring standards through audits, clinical practice supervision, and regulatory compliance checks, you will set high standards and develop strategies to achieve your goals. You must be an RGN with current NMC registration, a teaching or mentoring qualification, and experience in nursing home settings with continual professional development. You should exhibit expertise in clinical risk assessments and managing safeguarding investigations. Additionally, knowledge of sales, marketing, HR, and budget management, along with supporting newly qualified nurses, is required.

ABOUT YOUTo join us as a Peripatetic Deputy General Manager (Clinical), you'll need to be a Registered Nurse (RGN) with current NMC registration and a teaching, mentoring or supervision qualification. Previous experience of working within a nursing home setting is essential and evidence of continual professional development is also required. Experience in helping residents with different health needs is important too, as is a successful track record of managing safeguarding investigations and clinical risk assessments. We'll also look for some HR experience, a strong knowledge of sales and marketing, an understanding of budget management, and a track record of supporting newly qualified nurses through preceptorship. You'll be compassionate, resilient and determined to deliver quality care in our engaging and energetic environment. Finally, due to the nature of this role, you must be flexible and willing to travel.
