Main duties of the job

As a Peripatetic Head of Maintenance at Barchester Healthcare, you are responsible for maintaining a clean and well-maintained environment across various care homes in Bristol. You will perform tasks both inside the care home and in its gardens and grounds, from fixing leaks to planting bulbs. Leading a team, you will support the General Manager with budget planning and coordinate with contractors for specialized tasks. The role requires hands-on experience in property maintenance, at least one trade skill, a UK driving license, IT literacy, and GCSEs in Maths and English. You are expected to be reliable and flexible with working hours and contribute to the wellbeing of residents, ensuring all tasks are conducted sensitively to their needs. Qualifications

Essential

  • With hands-on experience of property maintenance, you'll have at least one trade skill, a full UK driving licence, IT literacy, and GCSEs in Maths and English (or equivalent).
