Job summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic, organised and highly motivated Pharmacy Team Administrator to join our friendly and supportive Pharmacy Team.
The successful candidate will provide comprehensive administrative support to the Pharmacy Team, ensuring the efficient coordination of day-to-day administrative processes that contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.
This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who has exceptional attention to detail, is able to prioritise a varied workload and can work independently using their own initiative.

Main duties of the job
Key Responsibilities:
- Process medicine reconciliations from hospital discharge letters and outpatient correspondence.
- Manage prescription requests to streamline prescribing workflows and reduce GP administrative burden.
- Process post-dated prescriptions in line with practice policies and clinical guidance.
- Provide administrative support for the management of long-term conditions, including Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF) activities.
- Maintain accurate patient records and update clinical systems as required.
- Prioritise workload to ensure timely processing of prescribing and administrative tasks.
- Communicate effectively with patients, clinicians, pharmacies and secondary care providers where appropriate.
- Ensure confidentiality and compliance with information governance, practice policies and NHS Standards.

Person Specification
Qualifications
Essential
- GCSE English and Maths level C/4 or above
- Experience working with confidential information
- Experience managing competing priorities and working accurately under pressure
- Good Communication Skills
- Well Presented and Organised
- Ability to work under self-direction and to targets
Desirable
- Experience of work in General Practice, Primary Care or the NHS
- Experience with prescription administration or medicines management processes
- Familiarity with clinical system EMIS Web.
