Job summary
We are looking for a Practice Manager to join our dynamic and highly motivated team delivering excellent healthcare for our NHS Surgery. SSP Healths Managers benefit from our substantial network of back office support functions to allow each to really focus on patient services and lead the local team of doctors, nurses and staff. You will ideally have some experience in a General Practice setting together with an understanding of the rapidly changing healthcare environment. Applications will also be welcomed from non PrimaryCare Managers who are able to identify transferable skills that can support our practices and demonstrate an understanding of current demands within Primary Care. Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills together with proven experience in managing people and monitoring performance targets is required. You must be highly self-motivated, organised and able to motivate your team. The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership skills, be confident with IT and enjoy working flexibly in a rapidly changing environment. You will have the aptitude to support practice engagement with the wider health economy as required, such as local Primary Care Networks, local practice manager networks and community care providers, to ensure that we are consistently kept aware of best practice and new developments. As the biggest provider of GP services in the North West, we are proud to have over 40 practices all rated as Outstanding or Good by CQC.

SSP Health is a private healthcare organisation specialising in the management and delivery of NHS primary care services . It was founded in 2002 by Dr Sanjay Pitalia and Dr Shikha Pitalia and has developed from supporting individual GP practices into a large primary care provider operating across the UK.
SSP Health's model is based on providing centralised management, operational support, clinical expertise and shared resources to GP practices while maintaining local delivery of primary care. Job Responsibilities:
The post holder will:
Monitor and assist in the evaluation of performance of the practice team against objectives whilst managing change
Develop and maintain effective communication both within the practice and with relevant outside agencies including the practice website and NHS Choices
Management of Patient Services & Patient Information
IT & Premises Management, H & S (Infrastructure)
KPI/ES/Performance Management/Contract Management
Increase Practice feedback
Monitor patient facing reviews
Assist with audits
Creating good relationships with GP clinical lead and PCN clinical lead
Financial Management
Drive the practice staff recalls to maximise income through Enhanced Services/PPA/Prevalence/QoF
Qof recalls and searches
BQC recalls and searches
Human Resources
Assist were relevant the recruitment and retention of staff and provide a general personnel management service
Oversee rota for staff,
Work in collaboration with multisite and lead on team initiatives
Work in conjunction with the onsite and offsite teams to monitor skill-mix and manage staffing levels
Oversee staff induction and training and ensure that all staff are adequately trained to fulfil their role,
Team net completion and mandatory training compliance of all staff,
Schedule staff appraisal and monitoring systems
Support and mentor staff, both as individuals and as team members
Organisational
Lead meetings, Clinical meetings, prepare agendas and ensure distribution of minutes as necessary/use of SSP Health, Teamnet for repository purposes.
Ensure actions are completed and report back to relevant requestor
Ensure adherence to protocols and procedures
Ensure that practice premises are properly maintained and cleaned and that adequate fire prevention and security systems are in place, report issues to maintenance
Log all areas of compliance on Teamnet
Arrange appropriate maintenance for practice equipment via maintenance
