Job summary
The Elms Surgery Watford are seeking a regular Locum Practice Nurse to cover holidays and sickness cover from July 2026 onwards. From 1-3 days a week, days to suit candidate.
The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care and support in a GP practice setting.
Main duties of the job
Responsibilities include:
Childhood vaccinations
Smears
Travel Immunisations
Dressings, including leg ulcer dressing
Chronic disease clinics Asthma, Diabetes
Ordering vaccine on Immform
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality
Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver comprehensive patient care

Health care team are made up of 3 GP's, 4 Physician Associates, Practice Nurse, HCA, social prescriber, care coordinators, supported fully by admin and reception team.
EMIS practice serving 9500 patients in Central Watford.
Job responsibilities
Qualified Nurse with current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)
EMIS trained
Proven experience in general practice
Strong patient care skills with a compassionate and empathetic approach
