About us
We provide a friendly and supportive environment, and we feel this contributes to our low staff turnover and the excellent working relationships within our team. We meet daily for coffee and monthly for an afternoon of protected time for a practice CPD meeting, in addition to providing time for personal PDP activity, as per standard BMA contract terms.
We feel our practice size contributes significantly to the development of good working relationships and importantly, good continuity of care, allowing the development of close doctor/patient relationships over protracted timescales. We felt that this was an important factor in the practice recently being listed amongst the highest scoring practices in the ICB region for patient satisfaction in the latest NHS national patient survey and we were commended by the ICB Chair and Chief Executive for our achievement.
We take a pro-active and innovative approach to the health of our population and have received recognition for this as one of the only practices in the North East and Yorkshire reaching lipid targets in hypertension. Our GPs have specialist interests including medical education, musculoskeletal medicine, respiratory medicine, ENT, women's health and diabetes. We are actively involved with the local frailty team and Care homes in the area.
We welcome and would support the development of any special interest working.
