Job summary
Salaried GP vacancy to work 4 sessions - Thursday & Friday (AM & PM)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic GP to join our friendly, well-organised, forward thinking practice. We are looking for either a newly qualified or experienced GP to work in our busy practice across two sites in Lofthouse and Rothwell.
Please note interviews will be held on Thursday 23rd July 2026.
Main duties of the job
Our surgery provides care to over 11,000 patients across 2 sites: Lofthouse Surgery and The Manse Surgery. We have 8 Doctors, 3 qualified Nurses and 3 Health Care Assistants who work at the practice, and we are looking to employ a GP to complete our team.

Job responsibilities
The post-holder will be expected to undertake all the normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care.
The successful applicant will be available to participate in 1-2 visits per day and be part of the on-call rota.

- Experience of working in an integrated multi-skilled team.
- Excellent communication skills.
- The ability to be compassionate at all times.
Desirable
- Experience of using a range of IT including knowledge of using SystmOne.

- Licence to practice as a General Practitioner
