Speech and Language Therapist

• 1 x initial assessment with report (non EHCNA) - 3 hours
• £70 per hour
• £40 per hour travel time
• 55p per mile mileage

We are looking for an experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our Therapies team, assessing a young person in York.

This is an excellent opportunity to deliver specialist speech and language therapy as part of a multidisciplinary team, helping a young person with complex communication needs to develop functional communication skills, increase independence and thrive within their educational environment.

The Role

• Deliver 3 hour initial assessment with report (non EHCNA
• Promote an inclusive approach
• Focus on meaningful, functional outcomes that improve participation and independence
• Maintain accurate clinical records, liaise with the wider multidisciplinary team and produce report as required

• Movement seeking and lack if maintaining attention
• Challenges in fine motor manipulation
• Needs verbal prompts to complete daily activities
• Sensory sensitivity
• Behind academically
• Reading comprehension at a much younger age
• Swallowing difficulties
