Job summary

The post is also ideal for an experienced paediatric doctor who can demonstrate that they have achieved the competences expected of a new ST4+ level paediatric trainee. The post is suitable for those interested in advancing their general paediatrics knowledge and developing their administrative skills in a teaching hospital environment.

This post is suitable for doctors interested in a career in Paediatrics. The successful applicant will be part of a large general paediatric team providing and coordinate

care for:

1: Children attended to paediatrics ED department including resuscitation room.

2: Children admitted to the inpatient ward (Jacks Place- 28beds),

3: Children admitted to the short stay paediatric ward (Rainbow unit- 8 beds)

The duty will include providing outpatients clinics assessments (general and various subspeciality clinics, including, allergy, epilepsy, gastro, sickle cell disease, endocrine, asthma, TB and infectious diseases, cardiology) with clinical supervision.

It is equally suitable for those at the end of training wishing to consolidate knowledge before applying for CCT or CESR certification with a supportive consultant team who encourage "acting up" and facilitate the appointee to further develop skills required to step up to consultant level.
