Job summary
City Health Care Partnership CIC are looking for highly motivated, enthusiastic individuals to join their team of practitioners in the Hull Royal Urgent Treatment Centre.
This role helps patients of all ages by delivering safe, timely clinical care, making a real difference to their urgent health needs. You'll be part of an established multidisciplinary workforce providing high-quality care within an Urgent Treatment Centre setting. Your work will support people with minor illness, minor injuries and more complex undifferentiated presentations, helping them receive the right care at the right time. The role is vital to ensuring positive patient experiences and strong partnerships across services.Main duties of the job
What you'll do:
- Assess, diagnose and treat patients, or refer them to the most appropriate service
- Manage a wide range of presentations, including acute illness, injury and long-term condition flare-ups
- Deliver care that meets professional standards, policies and evidence-based guidance
- Work collaboratively with partner organisations to support seamless patient pathways
- Act as a positive role model, supporting junior colleagues and flexible service delivery
- A registered clinician with experience in minor illness and or minor injury care
- Confidence in clinical assessment, decision-making and working within professional boundaries
- Motivation to lead by example and contribute to service improvement
- Commitment to ongoing learning, audit and best practice

Person Specification
Qualifications
Essential
- Degree in Nursing or Paramedic Science (Level 6) or significant experience.
- Academic modules / specialist training completed in relevant area/subject
- Professional Registration with the NMC (Nursing and Midwifery Council) or HCPCP (Health Care Professional Council)
Knowledge
Essential
- Significant knowledge of relevant policy and legislation, guidance and local initiatives and issues in relation to unplanned care
- Working knowledge of multidisciplinary teams
- Evidence of Continuing Professional Development
- Demonstrate the use of evidence based practice
Desirable
- Comprehensive working knowledge of medication and interventions used in unplanned care
- Knowledge of the legal framework surrounding medications prescribed or supplied, including PGDs, PSDs, EOL care pathways etc.
Experience
Essential
- Experience in an acute or primary care setting
- Experience of workload management and the ability to meet deadlines
- Experience of utilising a variety of software packages e.g. SystmOne, and E-Mail
Desirable
- Previous experience of using PGDs
- Experience of multi-disciplinary team working and working with patients with minor injuries and minor illness presentations
- Experience of the initial management, stabilisation and onward referral of patients who may self-present with more serious/life threatening conditions
