Other responsibilities will include: Maintaining a safe living and working environment, contributing to the positive and professional image of the home.
Main duties of the job
As a Wellbeing and Activities Assistant at Avery Healthcare, you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of residents through engaging activities. You'll support the Wellbeing Coordinator in delivering a variety of activities aimed at stimulating physical, cognitive, and social well-being. Responsibilities include maintaining a safe environment, reporting changes in residents' conditions, and preparing supplies for activities. Establishing community links to promote intergenerational activities is also key. Effective communication skills, a positive attitude towards older people, and experience working with older people in a dementia setting are essential.

ABOUT THE ROLE
As Wellbeing and Activities Assistant, your focus will be tosupportthe Wellbeing Coordinator in providing a wide range of activities to engage and stimulate the resident's physical, cognitive, and social well-being.
Other responsibilitieswillinclude:
- Maintaininga safe living and working environment,contributing to the positive and professional image of thehome.
- Reporting any changes in residents physical or emotional condition to the Wellbeing and Activity Coordinator, Home Manager, and the care staff.
- Supporting with ordering and preparing supplies for upcoming activities as directed.
- Supporting establishing links with the local community (e.g., schools, spiritual groups, museums/libraries) to encourage access to the wider community and promote intergenerational activity.

- Have previously worked with older people in a residential nursing Dementia setting.

Essential
- Effective communication skills, verbal and written. Understanding of the role interaction plays in the general well-being of people. Positive attitude toward older people and a commitment to providing stimulating, quality activities and events. Previous experience working with older people in a residential nursing dementia setting.
