Recent news bulletins have been educating us about how sugary flavoured drinks from high street coffee shops can be. And Jamie O’s attempts to get a sugar tax imposed are ongoing. So, the message has been well and truly drummed into us that too much sugar (by that and any other name) is poison.

In this short vlog (video blog) she shows you how to make a healthy low sugar smoothie:

Recipe for the healthy low sugar smoothie
Handful of each:
Blueberries (fresh or frozen)
Pineapple chunks
Spinach
Kale (baby version if you can get it in your supermarket)
Unsalted cashews
plus
half an avocado
Optional tbspn of chia seeds, goji berries, cranberries, flax or sunflower seeds
Elle McPherson Super Elixir
Unsweetened coconut water (or tap water, vegetable juice, soya or nut milks)
