Compare the best remortgage deals on the market today
Whether you need a mortgage for a single property or have a portfolio of multiple properties, you can compare remortgage rates from the whole of the market using our mortgage comparison tool.
Simply provide us with a few details about you, your financial circumstances and the property you want to remortgage and find out what mortgage rates could be available for you today.
Why should you remortgage?
Even if you’ve got no plans to move, it’s still worth reviewing your mortgage, especially if you’re looking to reduce your outgoings.
Always remember to check that there aren’t any hefty redemption penalties or early repayment charges to pay before you leave your existing deal.
- Reduce your total and monthly mortgage costs and save hundreds, or even thousands, of pounds a year.
- Mortgage rates have been very low over recent months, but with increases in the base rate, and with further rate rises expected in 2022, the best deals are unlikely to hang around for long.
- Remortgaging could provide you with some protection from economic uncertainty
- You might have moved into a different loan-to-value (LTV) band which means you now have access to better mortgage rates.
- Soaring living costs are prompting some lenders to reassess how much they’ll lend if you’re looking to remortgage.
If you’re looking for mortgage advice, you can speak to a Rest Less Mortgages advisor and get high quality advice on residential, retirement interest-only, equity release and buy-to-let mortgages.
How much does it cost to remortgage?
When you remortgage your home, there’s often an arrangement fee on a new mortgage, so remember to factor this in when choosing which mortgage to go for. Other fees you may need to pay include:
Valuation fees to have your property valued. Some lenders may offer a free valuation.
Solicitor fees may be payable if you’re looking to remortgage with a different lender, although again, some lenders may cover the cost of legal fees.
Administration fees for the cost of setting up your remortgage.
Exit fees may be charged by some lenders if you’re leaving your existing mortgage deal before the end of its term.
Please note that we charge a fee of £495 for residential, buy-to-let and retirement interest-only mortgages, and £995 for equity release. This only be chargeable upon mortgage completion.
