Advertising & Sponsorship Coordinator

Reach Volunteering

Job Description

This volunteer role is key to enable HVA to maintain its services. The extra income and support offsets some of the rising costs of staging art fairs and other activities. The main purpose: to obtain advertisers for HVA catalogues, brochures, magazine and sponsors for exhibitions/activities.

What will you be doing?

We are seeking a talented sales person who can identify suitable contacts for advertising, sponsorship or in-kind support. To establish and maintain a database of these contacts recording what's achieved and when. Following agreed guidelines on advertising rates and timeframes for specific events to obtain advertising revenue and sponsorship fees or support in kind for HVA activities. Submit monthly reports on progress against agreed targets.

What are we looking for?

Ideally with selling and relationship building experience, the volunteer will:

  • understand how to research and identify potential advertisers and sponsors
  • record information in an online contact management database
  • deal confidently and politely with contacts
  • build effective relationships with potential advertisers/sponsors
  • be clear about the benefits of advertising/sponsoring HVA
  • monitor progress against agreed targets
  • provide monthly reports to the Executive Team.

What difference will you make?

Research has shown the benefits of visual arts in the community. HVA promotes visual arts to audiences across the area and provides opportunities for local artists to collaborate, exhibit and inspire wider audiences through events, exhibitions and outreach activities. We also offer on-line and in-person support networks, for artists to connect and develop their creativity.

All advertisers in our publications and sponsors of our events help to offset our operating costs. This makes it possible to extend our outreach becoming a more inclusive organisation.

Good luck with your application
