Job Description
Help us grow awareness of Safer Homes and our mission to provide safe accommodation and stabilisation support. You'll create content, promote campaigns, identify opportunities, and connect us with supporters, volunteers, and partners.
What will you be doing?
We are looking for a Digital Marketing & Communications Lead to help grow awareness of Safer Homes, a new community organisation providing safe accommodation and stabilisation support for people facing homelessness, displacement, and life after crisis.
Working closely with the CEO, you will help promote our work, create engaging content, support campaigns, research opportunities, and build our presence across social media and community networks.
This is an exciting opportunity to join at an early stage and play a key role in helping Safer Homes reach more people, attract supporters, build partnerships, and strengthen its impact across the Black Country and wider West Midlands.
What are we looking for?
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with social media, content creation, marketing, communications, community engagement, or a related area.
- Able to write clear and engaging content for different audiences.
- Proactive, organised, and comfortable working independently.
- Creative in finding ways to increase awareness, engagement, and support.
- Confident researching opportunities, events, partnerships, and community networks.
- Passionate about making a positive difference in local communities.
- Experience within the charity, voluntary, housing, community, or public sector would be beneficial but is not essential.
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, reliable, and willing to take initiative. Most importantly, we want someone who believes in our mission and wants to help Safer Homes grow its reach, build meaningful connections, and increase its impact across the communities we serve.
What difference will you make?
Your contribution will help Safer Homes reach more people, build stronger community connections, and increase awareness of the support we provide.
By helping us promote our work, share our story, and engage with supporters, partners, and volunteers, you will play a direct role in helping us grow and extend our impact across the Black Country and wider West Midlands.
This is an opportunity to join at an early stage and help shape how Safer Homes is seen, supported, and trusted within the communities we serve.
