Job Description
We are looking for an experienced volunteer to support our treasurer with routine accounting and bookkeeping activities, ensuring the security, accountability, and effective use of the charity's funds.
What will you be doing?
We are seeking a finance officer/bookkeeper to support management of the society's accounts, receive and acknowledge donations, manage spending in line with approved budgets and processes, and support monthly reporting to the trustees board.
While our trustee board (and particularly the treasurer) takes overall responsibility for the society's funds, we are seeking a suitably-experienced volunteer to support routine activities and ensure thorough accountability.
What are we looking for?
Experience with financial management/accounting.
Familiarity with SAGE accounting software a bonus (training provided).
Interest in the outdoors and public access, including increasing awareness and access for all sectors of society.
What difference will you make?
Managing our funds effectively is one of the most critical roles we do. Individuals and other donors entrust their money to us to help protect, promote, and improve the nation's exceptional network of public rights of way throughout our area.
Projects include replacing footbridges, erecting signposts, improving surfaces, and taking action to remove obstructions.
