Job Description
This lead role is responsible for coordinating a group of volunteers to raise funds through events or other activities, delegating tasks to other members of the group as required and being the key contact in the local area.
What will you be doing?
In this lead volunteer role, you would be the key contact for fundraising in the area. Planning events and collections; organising fundraising activities for example quiz nights, bowling nights, sponsored walks. Liaising with local businesses for meet and greet the Guide Dogs events. You would build good working relationships with other volunteers in your group and make sure fundraising policies and procedures are followed and records are maintained.
What are we looking for?
We need someone who is able to generate enthusiasm and lead a group of volunteers to achieve great results.
A good communicator and someone with prior experience of managing teams.
Excellent organisational skills and experience to plan & facilitate fundraising events from collections at local supermarkets, to Guide Dogs coffee mornings.
Confidence and networking skills to promote fundraising opportunities with businesses and local organisations.
