Reach Volunteering

Job Description

Join Time to Heal Directory as a Social Media Volunteer! Help grow our online presence and raise awareness of our free/low-cost counselling services for young people and families. Ideal for someone passionate about digital media and mental health.

What will you be doing?

What will you be doing?

Working Remotely - we're looking for a passionate and creative Social Media Volunteer to help us grow and manage our online presence at Time to Heal Directory, a not-for-profit organisation providing free and discounted counselling to young people and families.

In this role, you'll be instrumental in increasing our visibility and engagement across platforms like Instagram and LinkedIn, ensuring that our content is timely, relevant, and aligned with our mission to support mental health and wellbeing.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Growing our follower base and increasing engagement across key social platforms
  • Creating and scheduling engaging and informative posts using tools like Canva
  • Keeping our social channels up to date and aligned with current events (e.g. Mental Health Awareness Week)
  • Adapting and tailoring content for different platforms
  • Working closely with the team to create content that showcases our impact and activities
  • Developing a strong hashtag strategy to boost reach and visibility
  • Monitoring and responding to comments and direct messages, and forwarding any relevant communications to the team

What are we looking for?

What are we looking for?

We're seeking someone who is:

  • A strong communicator with excellent written and visual skills
  • Experienced using social media platforms, particularly Instagram and LinkedIn
  • Experienced in using design tools like Canva or similar
  • Organised and able to schedule content in a timely and strategic manner
  • Passionate about mental health and the work of not-for-profit organisations

An interest in youth mental health or experience working with charities is a bonus, but not essential.

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact in a growing organisation while developing your digital skills and supporting a vital cause.

What difference will you make?

Your contribution as a Social Media Volunteer will play a vital role in helping Time to Heal Directory reach more young people and families in need of emotional support. By raising awareness of our free and discounted counselling services, you'll directly help individuals access the mental health support they might not otherwise find.

Social media is one of our key tools for connection, outreach, and education. Through your work, more people will learn about the support available to them, especially those who feel isolated, unheard, or unsure of where to turn.

Your efforts will also help us:

  • Reach underrepresented communities that may be unaware of mental health services
  • Promote mental health awareness campaigns and reduce stigma
  • Highlight real stories of healing and growth (with consent), offering hope to others
  • Engage supporters, funders, and potential partners who can amplify our impact

As we grow our presence online, we aim to build a community that encourages conversation, empowers individuals, and fosters connection. You'll be helping us build that community - one post, story, and share at a time.

This role offers the chance to see tangible results from your creativity and consistency. Whether it's a post that encourages someone to seek help, or a message that leads to a referral, your work truly matters.

Together, we can ensure no young person or family feels alone on their journey to healing.

Good luck with your application
