We are excited to announce that we are recruiting new trustee members to join our current Board!We are looking for people with a background in HR, community organisers, fundraising, and business development/or social entrepreneurship, with a particular passion for social change.
What will you be doing?
Skaped has a charitable board of 4 trustees. Our ethos revolves around being unconventional and creating an organisation prioritising care and acceptance within our activism and general workspace. Each trustee brings to the table a direct lived experience related to the issues addressed by Skaped in its work, ensuring a profound understanding of the challenges faced by our beneficiaries and the Skaped community.
As Skaped continues to grow, so do our responsibilities, ambitions, and long-term vision. We are now looking for trustees who can support us through this important transitional period helping strengthen the organisation's sustainability, governance, and strategic development as we move into our next chapter.
What are we looking for?
- Demonstrable commitment to Skaped vision, mission and values.
- Dedication and commitment to help drive Skaped forward as an organisation
- Experience working in the charity sector/start-up enterprise/ community organisations and/or grassroots organisations
- Experience working in the HR sector, dealing with legal and organisational topics and/or
- Experience within community organising and social justice issues, whether locally or globally and/or
- Experience of social entrepreneurship or business planning with a passion for social change.
- Someone who can bring ideas forward and help integrate new systems/ processes/ policies and ideas in place
- An understanding of working with a founder who is still involved in the organisation's delivery.
- Commitment to Skaped policies and procedures & provide guidance as required
- Who is passionate about creativity and helping to make a change in society
- Who values and champions the work of Skaped and reprints the inclusivity and diverse community
- Understands the value of art and how this can lead to community and societal change
- Who possesses a good understanding of working with young people, especially in deprived areas
- Skaped is a women - and marginalised-led organisation, and we're seeking someone deeply committed to supporting and championing our community: (by women, we mean anyone who ever self-identifies as such, be they cis, trans, non-binary, or genderfluid!)

Skaped is an educational artivist charity based in East London. Our work centres providing opportunities for young people and bringing them together to build genuine connections that challenge isolation and inequality.
