As a Digital Communications Officer on a 24-month fixed-term contract, you will play an important role in ensuring that millions of consumers, businesses and stakeholders can easily access clear, accessible and engaging information about the energy sector and the transition to Net Zero. Working within our Digital Communications team, you will create, review and publish high-quality website content that meets user needs, supports organisational objectives and delivers a positive digital experience. Using content design principles, audience insight and performance data, you will help make complex information easier to understand, ensuring content is findable, usable and accessible for all users.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled digital communicator who is passionate about creating user-centred content and improving online experiences. You will collaborate with colleagues across policy, stakeholder engagement, events and strategic communications teams to deliver effective digital campaigns and content projects from concept through to publication. The role requires strong writing and editing skills, experience of working with content management systems, and a good understanding of content standards, accessibility requirements and style guidelines. You will also use research, analytics and user feedback to continually improve content performance and support wider transformation work across ofgem.gov.uk.

We are looking for someone who combines creativity with attention to detail, thrives in a collaborative environment and is motivated by delivering meaningful outcomes for users. In return, you will have the opportunity to contribute to high-profile communications that support one of the most significant challenges facing the UK today: delivering a safe, affordable and environmentally sustainable energy system. If you are enthusiastic about digital communications, content design and improving user experience, we would love to hear from you. This role offers the chance to make a tangible impact while developing your skills within a purpose-driven organisation committed to innovation, inclusion and public service excellence.

Ofgem has a culture of inclusion that encourages, supports and celebrates the diverse voices and experiences of our colleagues.
