Job description
The Engineering Biology (EB) team is at the heart of the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT), leading the UK Government's strategy for one of the country's designated critical and frontier technologies. With significant commitments to the sector through the Industrial Strategy, the work of the team is critical in setting the right conditions for the sector. The team has broad responsibilities including the growth of the sector, the responsible research and deployment of capabilities, economic security, international collaboration, and the convergence of AI and EB. Our team works collaboratively across Government, with UK Research and Innovation (UKRI), regulators, industry, academia and international partners to set the right ecosystem conditions for the sector to thrive. We are a high-performing, dynamic and inclusive team. This role will support the increasing and expanding remit and capability of the team through coordinating and managing a variety of short and longer term requirements. |
