Assistant Management Accountant
Salary: up to £41,000/annum
Location: Kew Bridge, London
We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant ManagementAccountant to join our Finance team at Fuller's. This role plays an importantpart in delivering accurate and timely financial reporting across our Managedand Tenanted divisions. Working closely with the Finance Manager, Estates andProperty teams, you will help produce monthly management accounts, provideinsightful financial analysis, and support key business decisions.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Support the preparation of monthly managementaccounts for the Managed and Tenanted divisions, ensuring accurate and timelyfinancial reporting.
- Prepare month-end journals, including accruals,prepayments, deferred income, recharges, rebates and other accountingadjustments.
- Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliationsand investigate any variances.
- Produce weekly and monthly financial reports,providing clear analysis and insight to support business decision-making.
- Manage reporting for repairs, maintenance anddepreciation costs across the Group, ensuring accurate accounting and financialcontrol.
- Work closely with the Estates and Property teamsto monitor capital expenditure, oversee work in progress and ensure assets arecorrectly capitalised and transferred to the fixed asset register.
- Maintain and reconcile the fixed asset register,including the calculation and posting of depreciation.
- Review and help improve the use of the AccessMaintain property system to enhance reporting, controls and operationalefficiency.
- Support the FP&A team with the preparationof budgets and forecasts.
- Produce site profitability reports and ad hocfinancial analysis to support Operations Managers and improve commercialperformance.
- Prepare financial information and supportingschedules for monthly reviews, external audits and year-end reporting.
- Complete external reporting requirements,including regulatory and statistical submissions.
- Work closely with the Accounts Payable team toensure invoices and related deferrals are accounted for accurately.
- Identify opportunities to improve financialprocesses, reporting and internal controls, sharing recommendations with theFinance Manager.
What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience within a finance or management accounting role, ideally within hospitality or a multi-site business.
- Part-qualified or fully qualified (or studying towards) AAT, ACCA, ACA or CIMA.
- Strong accounting knowledge with excellent attention to detail.
- Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large volumes of financial data.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively with both finance and non-finance colleagues.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- A proactive, positive approach with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience using Microsoft Dynamics Business Central or Access Maintain would be advantageous but is not essential.
