The Role:

Join our Education and Inclusion service as a Senior Administrative Officer, supporting senior leaders to deliver services that improve outcomes for children and young people, particularly those who are most vulnerable. This is a varied and rewarding role where you'll play a key part in the smooth and effective running of a high-performing Children's Services Directorate.

What you'll do:

  • Provide high-quality administrative and organisational support to senior leaders, helping coordinate activity across a range of services.
  • Manage complex diaries, meetings and workflows, ensuring priorities are effectively planned and delivered.
  • Coordinate complaints, correspondence and briefings, ensuring accurate, timely and high-quality responses.
  • Prepare agendas, reports and documentation, and support meetings including minute taking and action tracking.
  • Act as a central point of coordination, working across teams to ensure a consistent and joined-up approach.

What we're looking for:

  • Proven experience delivering high-quality administrative support in a busy, fast-paced environment, with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines and coordinate work across multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships across teams and stakeholders.
  • Confident IT skills, with experience using Microsoft Office and a range of digital systems.
  • Professional, dependable and trustworthy, with the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
