The children, staff and governors are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, motivated and dedicated Level 3 Learning Support Assistant to join our school. Heasandford Primary School is a large and popular school, located close to the centre of Burnley. We are an inclusive school, serving a diverse community, in which every child is valued. All staff work hard to ensure we provide the best for our children and their families and the children are always at the heart of everything we do. The successful applicant will:
  • Work collaboratively with the class teacher to meet the personal, social and educational needs of all pupils

  • Have a passion for developing children's learning across the curriculum
  • Build strong and positive relationships with children, staff and families and work as part of a team
  • Be committed to whole-school life and be willing to support extra-curricular activities and school events, if required
  • Be able to demonstrate good communication skills
  • Show a willingness to develop and engage in continuous professional development
  • Undertake cover supervision for whole classes, on request Weekly working hours are: Monday to Friday, 8.45am to 3.30pm, (30 hours), term time only. The position is Grade 6 (£28,142 to £32,061), however as this position is part time, please note the salary quoted is full time equivalent and if successful, the salary received will be paid on a pro-rata basis.   • English and Maths GCSE (or equivalent)
  • TA qualification NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent)
  • First Aid qualification
  • Current safeguarding training
  • Experience of working with children
  • Experience of working with children in different age groups
