Main duties of the job

This role involves a variety of tasks within the care home, including maintenance of both the building and gardens. Duties can range from fixing leaky taps to planting new bulbs. Leadership skills are crucial as you'll lead a team, support the General Manager in annual budget planning, and liaise with contractors for specialized work. The wellbeing of residents is your top priority, ensuring all tasks are completed with their needs in mind. Hands-on property maintenance experience with at least one trade skill is required, along with a proven ability to undertake a wide range of maintenance tasks. Flexibility in working hours and reliability are essential, as is a full UK driving licence, IT literacy, and GCSEs in Maths and English (or equivalent).
