Job summary

Are you looking for a new challenge? Or are you looking to expand your existing skills and knowledge within a Rheumatology setting? Or looking to work in a new speciality? We are looking for two people to join our growing team who want to be involved in improving and developing our existing service, whilst delivery high quality safe care to patients. Due to the expanding number of therapies available to treat rheumatology conditions, we have an exciting opportunity for two dynamic, self-motivated clinical nurse specialists to join out well established nursing team at Chapel Allerton Hospital.

Main duties of the job

The jobholder will be part of the Rheumatology Nurse Specialist team, led by a band 7 team Manager. The jobholder will support and provide advanced nursing expertise to patients who have inflammatory arthritis and connective tissue diseases. The jobholder will work across the patients clinical pathway to deliver high quality nurse led care, and provide specialist advice to other health care professionals both in hospital and in the community. Why you should join our Team

Working in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team the post holder will enhance and expand the team to provide a seamless service for patients with rheumatological conditions. The role consists of nurse led clinics, providing disease and therapy education, whilst providing specialist advice and triage via the telephone advice line.

Applicants must have s post registration experience with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Relevant Rheumatology knowledge and qualification in the specialty would be an advantage but not essential. Further training and professional development will be provided including an induction period. Non-Medical prescribing qualification would be advantageous but not essential as we can support obtaining the qualification as part of the role.

What you will bring to the role

Registered Nurse (RN Adult for adult clinical areas or RN Child for children's areas (Level 1 or 2)

Recognised teaching/assessing qualification or equivalent experience of teaching and assessment

Evidence of continued professional development

Willing to undergo training as necessary
